A woman whom Steve dated over the summer shows up and claims that she is pregnant with his child. Noah refuses to accept Val's apology and resume their relationship. He gets very drunk and is arrested in a bar fight. Brandon bails him out, and Noah explains that it is the anniversary of the death of his fiancée, Beth. He also reveals that he is a Harvard graduate, and that his family runs a Fortune 500 oil company. He has millions in his trust fund, but wants nothing to do with the money.
