However, unable to communicate with his wife Linda played by Claudie Blakley, who's in her own private world of grief, John finds himself completely adrift in the world.
He quits his job, and reinvents himself within a group of Polish builders telling them he's footloose and fancy free - no wife or kids. But contact with his new boss's little girl is just too close for comfort and takes John to the edge of despair.
