In order to protect his partner Sonja (Chiara Schoras) as well as colleagues and relatives from the revenge of his archenemy, Matteo sees only one way out: he flies to Bari on his own to eliminate the powerful mafia boss. Meanwhile, Jonas Kerschbaumer (Gabriel Raab) wants to use his bosses' absence in Bolzano to create facts in the investigation against his friend and colleague Sofia (Sinja Dieks). With a false statement he wants to exonerate her, because she is threatened with charges because of the shots at Mafia governor Giulia Santoro (Susanna Simon).
