However, Satoru later reveals to Saki that upon analyzing the Monster Rats' DNA he discovered that they were created by infusing mole rat DNA into ordinary humans to prevent them from being a threat to the humans with telekinesis. Saki then pays a visit to Squealer and sure that he was already punished enough, puts him out of his misery. Ten years later, Saki and Satoru get married, and as she expects their first child, they desire that the world soon becomes a better place for its sake.
