Al learns from Ilsa, a member of the underground posing as his girlfriend, that his contact, Professor Gorokhov, was killed the night before. The underground does not know what Al has to steal, only where it is, and whatever it is, once revealed, will cause a great upheaval in most of the Iron Curtain governments. Ilsa takes Al to the State Museum and tells him that whatever he has to steal is in there. As to where in the museum it could be, all Ilsa can tell Al is what the professor's last words were as she got to him before he died, he said, ''The keep, the crib in the keep...''
