The season had a few changes, including a new lifeline called Power Paplu. This lifeline allowed the contestant to reuse a lifeline that was previously used on another question. Double Dip and Ask The Expert were discontinued and in lieu of 50:50 and Flip The Question (also known as "Switch" or "Switch The Question") were revived. The Phone-a-Friend was extended to 45 seconds. The prize for the jackpot question was increased to ₹7 Crore (70 million rupees).
