Sallas has one of the local police, Detective Phil Scanlon (Larry Pennell) in his pocket, who unknown to Sallas is shaking down Elmer Pike (Macdonald Carey) and his casino, and Maytric needs to find out why. Maytric thinks Pike's daughter Elizabeth (Indus Arthur) may be able to help him, and decides to approach her, but is it too late?
