With Peter and Lisa watching, Scott pushes to regain his old swimming times, but he stops in pain. Lisa finds the empty pill bottle. Ted later tells Scott that the damage he did was great enough that he will never swim competitively again. Scott reacts angrily and immaturely. Ted tells him not to give up on the rest of his life. After reflection, Scott tells Lisa and Peter he wants to study to be a physical therapist.
