Il était une fois un pêcheur et sa femme. Non loin de là vivait un renard. Un jour, l'homme est allé dans un étang gelé pour pêcher. Sur son chemin il rencontre Mr Renard faisant semblant d'être mort et le pêcheur s’empresse de le ramasser. L'homme a commencé à pêcher et s'est endormi au-dessus du trou de glace. Le loup voyant cela, était bien content car il espérait obtenir du poisson, mais le renard a dit au loup que c'est son propre pêcheur et s'il veut manger du poisson - il devrait mettre sa propre queue dans un trou de glace pour pêcher. La queue du loup une fois gelée dans la glace, les poissons s’empressent d’en faire un joli sapin de Noël. L'homme, sa femme, le renard, le chat et la souris ont finalement tiré la queue du loup hors du trou et le nouvel an est enfin arrivé.
