However, Hikari dives into the sea and attempts to return to Shioshishio but the sea currents drive him away. Before he makes another attempt, Tsumugu appears and confronts him for not going to meet Chisaki and hears from him that he is too scared with how much things changed while he was asleep. While returning home, Hikari hears a song and learns that the song is played everyday for the residents of Shioshishio who are still asleep and following the sound, he encounters Chisaki and the two finally meet again.
