Neighbourhood officer Neil manages to make contact, but things go from bad to worse when he realises she is talking to him from a bridge. Neil must use all his skills to talk to the woman and is forced to make a snap decision, which could save her life. When a prisoner who has broken the terms of his release goes on the run, Sunderland officers Mick and Dave must find him. After arresting him, it quickly becomes clear he won't go quietly, and the cops are forced to take a firm approach. In Sunderland, a youngster is injured after falling through the roof of a derelict school. After giving the trespassing youth some basic first aid, PCs Cooky and Sarah take him back to his dad, who is far from pleased.
