However, Eggman offers Chris a one-way ride back to Earth, or stay in Sonic's world forever. Chris reluctantly decides to return to Earth, without the chance to say goodbye to his friends. It was revealed to be a trick from Eggman to weaken Sonic's team without Chris and plots to rebuild his army, with Sonic and company to battle him once again. The final shot pans to Tails' workshop, showing a sprout from the Cosmo seed Sonic gave to Tails earlier.
