Shortly after the death of Jutta Reike a swimmer is run over by a motorboat on the lake. In his car Zeiler und Oberländer find evidence of the victim Dietrich Falkner (Peter Strauß), that connects him to the serial killing. Everything seems to fit until Zeiler und Oberländer discover that Falkner can't be the murderer of Jutta Reike. So the hunt for the second murderer begins.
