Rosa and Maria are also ambushed by the goat butlers and killed as they try to escape. In Purgatory, Beatrice tortures Rosa into accepting her as a witch until Battler stops her, having regained his will to fight her. Afterwards, Beatrice reveals to Bernkastel that she is aware of her meddling before the two witches are joined by another witch, Lambdadelta, who seeks to participate in Beatrice's next game against Bernkastel.
