As the two are soon forced to escape from Security, Yugo explains how 99% of the population, known as Commons, live in slums under fear from the privileged 1%, known as the Tops, with Yugo hopes to one day go up against Jack Atlas, a duelist from Commons who rose to become a champion. Just then, an officer from Security known as a Duel Chaser forces Yugo into a Turbo Duel, a high speed duel taking place on their Duel Runners.
