The tracks lead chief inspector Lanz to Munich's red light district, with which her colleague Paul Böhmer maintains close contact. Böhmer has a particularly close and intimate relationship with the prostitute Johanna. Johanna asks him to take care of the young prostitute Tereza, who seems to be involved in an illegal matter - without informing his colleagues. As it turns out, the submerged Tereza is the last to see Moritz alive.While Böhmer becomes increasingly entangled in a conflict of loyalties – observed suspiciously by his boss – Vera Lanz not only discovers the kidnappers, but also a connection between Christian Helmes and Tereza. This leads the commissioners to a murder case that was covered up a few years ago. When Johanna then disappears without a trace and Böhmer finally finds her dead, Vera has a lot to do to protect her colleague from making a big mistake.
