Elder Ham guilts him into it, asking him to imagine Christmas morning without any presents. He emphasizes the need for secrecy - that Hamtaro can't tell anyone what he's doing. The ham-hams are out and about. They find Hamtaro and wonder where he was. When they mention Christmas, he hastily answers that he doesn't know anything about Christmas,
