When Smith gets close, Nadir warns him off, stating that she is married to major villain Pete Larson. Meanwhile, Hunter and Nadir investigate a cash machine scam involving a number of 'skimmers' – and decide to mount an undercover operation to catch the thieves in the act. As Harman and Johannsen are roped in as backup, the operation looks to go off without a hitch – until Hunter re-deploys Harman to collect a birthday cake on his behalf.
