Sooty, Sweep, Soo and Matthew all experience lots of good luck and bad luck - Soo finds £5.00 after seeing two magpies together, whilst poor Matthew ends up spilling tea all over himself, and things begin falling over in his bedroom after he leaves his shoes on the table! Later on Matthew finds himself wishing he could see into the future, and the gang call in a fortune teller to make Matthew's wish come true. A crystal ball appears in the kitchen, and Sooty and Sweep tell Matthew that he's about to be visited by 'Gypsy Nose Lee', who turns out to be Soo dressed as a fortune teller! However, suddenly a voice calls to Matthew from within the crystal ball and summons him inside, where he comes face-to-face with a real fortune teller! The fortune teller predicts that Matthew will encounter water, and indeed he does...when Sooty squirts him with a water pistol! Matthew wakes up and it appears that he's been dreaming, and the three friends present him with some flowers, which they discover includes a lucky four-leaf clover, which leads to fish & chips all round!
