Putting a stop to their duel, Yuya questions Yuto, who explains his that homeworld, the Xyz Dimension, was attacked one day by the Fusion Dimension, who turned its citizens into cards. Yuto further reveals there is also a Synchro Dimension, while Yuya's homeworld, Standard, is the one that connects them all. As Yuya vents that duels are supposed to be used for entertainment instead of war, a portal suddenly opens and a duelist appears, bearing the same face as Yuya and Yuto.
